About
A research desk for AI tools.
There are thousands of AI tools and almost no reliable way to compare them. The pricing pages contradict the marketing, the limits are in the docs, and most "best of" lists are affiliate rankings that nobody opened a product to write.
We do the reading: the vendor's pricing page and its documentation, recorded with the date. Then we put the tools next to each other on an axis that actually separates them, and we show the working: every figure on this site names the document it came from and the day a human opened it.
What that gets you
A page you can audit. If you disagree with our judgment, the facts underneath it are still yours to check, and a review, comparison or tool profile lays them out in a table at the foot of that page, with links to the originals. That is a different product from a listicle, and it is the only kind worth building.
What we do not claim
We are not a testing lab and we do not present ourselves as one. We do not run our own benchmarks. No page here carries one today, and if one ever appears it will be somebody else's, cited by name and linked. Our scores are editorial judgment against a published rubric, and the rubric is published precisely so that the judgment can be argued with.
How it is funded
Affiliate commission on some vendor links, disclosed above every one of them. No paid placement, and no vendor sees a page before it publishes. The full terms are on the disclosure page.
