Luma sells Dream Machine both as a product you use directly and as an API you build on, and the documentation for the second is more legible than the pricing for the first.
The entry price is published, and the Dream Machine paths no longer lead to it
Luma's plans live on one page covering the whole product rather than on a Dream Machine page of its own. Read on 24 August 2026, the cheapest individual card is Plus, and it prints "$30/month" beside "$300 billed yearly" under a toggle labeled "Save up to 20% with yearly". The card lists 10,000 credits against that tier.
Two figures printed side by side and labeled is what makes the monthly one quotable, so it is the number at the top of this profile. An earlier reading of this vendor found three figures running together and no way to tell which applied to a month, and this profile carried no entry price for that reason. The page changed; the reason went with it.
Getting there takes a detour worth knowing about. Both /dream-machine and /dream-machine/pricing now redirect to the Luma app, so the URL a reader would guess is not the one that answers the question. The plans are at /pricing, which resolves without a redirect.
The free allowance is the half we still cannot quote
The same page carries no free card, and it does not say anywhere that none exists. So this profile states an entry price and nothing about what you get before you pay, which is an odd shape for a tool page and an honest one.
That gap is also why Luma sits sixth in our video ranking rather than higher or lower. The tools above it published an allowance we could read. The tools below it leave a reader with nothing to try, one because its own page prints that plainly and one because its consumer pages did not serve us a document at all. An unknown belongs between those, not at the bottom, because ranking a product last on a figure nobody established is scoring an absence as a value.
The Dream Machine API is documented publicly, which is the detail that matters if you are building generation into your own product rather than subscribing to a web app. Our methodology sets out why the price and the allowance are recorded as two separate questions.
