A platform for sending email, priced by how many contacts you store rather than by how many people use it, with AI copywriting features the vendor markets under the name Smart Content. The pricing card is the interesting part: it prints two monthly figures at once, and which one you pay depends on a billing toggle the card does not label for you.

The entry price, and the second figure on the same card

Benchmark's pricing card shows two figures side by side, and the pair is the whole story of how this vendor prices a subscription. The struck-through figure reads $19/mo and the figure beside it reads $16/mo, which is $16/mo, Pro annual on the same card, and the vendor's own structured data settles which is which: its JSON-LD names $19 as the price of the 1,000 contacts, Pro entry tier. The company's Japanese pricing page labels the same gap as an annual discount of about 15 percent. The number somebody signing up today at monthly billing pays is the one this profile publishes, and our methodology records the rule behind that choice.

That makes Benchmark the same shape as Runway was when we first read it: two figures on one card, and a billing cadence you have to reconstruct rather than read. The reconstruction here is easier than most, because the vendor left the answer in its own page data. Adding people to the account has its own line: the card prints $15/mo per extra user. And a paid plan's sending ceiling is 10x contact limit, paid, per the same page's FAQ, so the entry tier's allowance is its contact count multiplied by ten. A reader who takes the smaller number as a discount they have been offered will be surprised at checkout, and no part of the English card warns them.

What the free plan actually allows

The free plan costs $0/mo and carries 500 contacts, so the ceiling it reaches is 2,500 emails/mo, free cap, because the vendor's FAQ states the 5x contact limit, free formula: free plans may send up to five times their contact limit each month. One user, one verified sending domain, and the vendor's own words on the pricing page promise that they "won't auto-upgrade or surprise you". That sentence is worth more than the cap is, because the usual failure of a free plan is not the ceiling, it is the bill that arrives when something quietly crosses one.

What the English pricing card does not print is an annual-percentage label like the one the Japanese page carries. We read the English page and the Japanese page on the same day; the label difference is a fact about those two pages, not a claim about what every Benchmark page shows.

One page, two sending promises

The pricing page contradicts itself about what a paid plan sends, and both halves are the vendor's own words on the same document. The structured data describing Pro says "unlimited emails". The FAQ on the same page caps paid sending at ten times the contact limit of the plan. A vendor would not be the first to let a marketing summary outrun its own footnote, but for a buyer doing arithmetic, the cap is the operative number: whatever plan size you pick, the working ceiling is its contact count multiplied by ten, whatever the card's summary promises.

Who this is not for

A buyer shopping for AI writing priced per seat is in the wrong aisle: Jasper's profile prints a per-seat monthly figure, and that is a different shape of purchase from a contact-metered email platform. A team already living inside a workspace tool is likewise better served where the assistant attaches to a plan they hold, which is how Notion AI is priced. One caution has nothing to do with pricing: the company Benchmark One, at benchmarkone.com, is a different business selling CRM software to gyms and fitness studios, and the similarity of the names is exactly the kind of thing a hurried search gets wrong. We read this vendor's pricing three separate times before the figures settled, and the post that came out of it walks through the two-figure card and the multiplier allowance in full.

Where these numbers came from

Every figure above is the vendor's own published number. Each row names the document it was read from and the day a human opened it.
